do i need a visa if I have a passport from South Africa?

i am going to Hangzhou in china for appro 15 days.

Yes, you need to apply for an L type by providing your passport and a photocopy of its data page, a filled application form affixed with a recently-taken passport style photo, roundtrip tickets and hotel bookings.
