About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Can I get a Business (M) visa for China if I am traveling in Japan as a tourist?

I am an American citizen.

Yes, you can apply for the M type at an embassy or consulate in Japan by providing the original and photocopy of your passport, an application form, a recent color photo, original and photocopy of your tourist type for Japan, and the commercial activity documents issued by your trade partner in China or an invitation letter issued by a trade fair.
