About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Luggage to final destination?

We are travelling from Stockholm to Ho Chi Minh with a 11 hour stop in Beijing. Are we allowed to enter Beijing with a 72 hour Visa and still have our suitcases checked in to the final destination? We plan to arrange a Taxi to Great Wall (Mutianyu), how long will that trip be? Can we buy cable car tickets in advance?
Regards Ola

Ola, it depends on how your airline deals with your luggage. If they don't provide his service, then you have no choice but take your suitcases after you arrive and then apply for 72 hours free transit. But I don't think it's a problem, you can deposit your suitcase at the airport.

It takes around 1.5 to 2 hours if you take a taix from the airport to Mutianyu. I don't think you need to buy the cable car tickets in advance. It's convenient for you to buy when you arrive at the wall.
