is a free 72 hour visa applicable for us?

Question

We are cruising SE ASIA arriving Shanghai 9/3 1030 from Japan & departing 10/3 1800 to Hong Kong. Overnight accommodation is on board cruise ship. Do we qualify for free 72 hour free transit as we will be doing general sightseeing & 1/2 day tours in Shanghai City over a 2 day period. Thanks

Hi Allen, as the rules go, 72 hour free transit policy is only available in airports, so you are not qualified for it. However, you can still do some sighting activities in Shanghai, as you can enjoy the 24 hour free transit.
