You should go to the local Exit & Entry Administration Department seven days before your current one expires and submit the extension application. Materials needed for the application are your valid passort, regitration form of temporary residence, completely filled visa permit application form with recent half-length color photo, legal registration certificate of the inviter (entities or individuals within China), Chinese official letter with official seal of the Unit issued by the inviting units to Exit-entry Administration Department, and other documents needed by the Exit & Entry Administration Department.
