About:Beijing Capital Airport T3

I am flying from US to China by United with the stopover in Beijing.

I need to change to Air China to Chongqing. Do I need to get my checked in luggage in BJ and recheck in at Air China? Thanks.

Do you have interline ticketing? If not, generally speaking, you need to check your luggage again.
But you can ask your airline whether they have luggage check-through service or not. If they have, it's not necessary for you to get recheck of your luggage.
