About:China Visa on Arrival

Can I get the 5 day Shenzhen visa (German national) shortly after my X type expired?

I will be traveling for about two weeks in between but I would like to fly home from Shenzhen not HK.

Yes, it's possible you an get the 5-day Shenzhen entry. Alternatively, you can join a tour group through a travel agency in Hong Kong, and in that case, you do not have the trouble for application.
