About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

U.S. to Hong Kong, to Shanghai, back to Hong Kong, and then back to U.S.

I am in the U.S. planning on taking a trip to Hong Kong. From Hong Kong, I would like to take a short trip to Shanghai and return back to Hong Kong before heading back to the U.S. Will I qualify for the 72 hours free visa?

Louie, you are not qualify for the 72 hour free transit, since going back to the same country is not considered as a valid transit.
