About:Kunming Airport

Hi, I am a pakistani citizen and will have a stopover at Kunming airport on my way to Thailand

I'm not planning on leaving the airport, would I need a transit visa to remain in the airport till my flight to Bangkok?

Oh, it depends on how long of your stopover. Are you a Pakistan passport holder? If yes, you needn't to apply for a transit visa for a stayover within 24h The airport has 24-hour Visa Free Transit.
If it is more than 24 hours, you need to apply for a transit visa.
