South African Passport - 24 hour visa free transit

As a South African passport holder flying from South Korea to the Philippines through China, do I qualify for the 24 hour free transit permit? It is particularly worrying me because I actually have to transfer from one airport to another while in China and will therefore be required to leave the airport. Please advise if I should immediately apply or if we will be safe to transit.

You're qualified for the 24 hour free transit, but you can only stay within the designated area, so if you need to go to another airport, you should immediatedly apply for a permit.

By "permit" do you mean VISA or the permit issued at immigration control at the airport? Thank you so much for your help.
