About:China Student Visa

Can a U.S. Probationer enter China on a Student Visa?

I am currently on probation within the United States for being a driver during a theft. I am in college, I have all A's, and my professors are planning to go to China for 30 days, and are adamant that I go. I am allowed to travel, and do have my passport, but my concern is trying to get a X type with my record. It is a felony. Would I be denied entry into China? Should I try to get the student visa or just not waste my time?

Ron, I personally think that you may take a chance to apply for the X type. If you try, you have 50 percent chance to get the X type. If you don't, you get yourself denied easily.
