About:Chinese Consulate in Montreal

Do I need copies of my return air ticket?

I am a Canadian citizen who will be travelling in Thailand, Myanmar and Laos before coming to China. So far, I only have a one way ticket for the end of my journey, from China back to Canada. However, I do not know exactly when or from what airport I will be arriving in China. Is this a problem?

According to the rules, the round trip tickets are needed for application, because the embassy will consider the duration of your stay based on your ticket. So only the returning ticket may be a problem. You had better have the reaching ticket.

If you really cannot provide it, you can leave your application when you reach Thailand and apply it in that country after you got the ticket.
