About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I'm flying from Copenhagen, and have about 7 hours in Beijing before my connecting flight to Taipei.

My luggage will probably be checked in all the way to Taipei at my point of departure

Is it possible to leave the airport and go into the city during this time? Exactly how does it work in that case? Do I go to the transfer desk, or do I just exit the airport through the normal immigration control? What happens to my checked in luggage if I do not go to the transfer desk? If I go to the transfer desk, is it possible to leave the airport after I have gone through?

I have a valid multiple entry visa for China.

Yes, you are allowed to leave the airport to the city, but u need to apply for a stay permit after landing. You have to go through immigration to get the permit and leave the airport. But once you pass the transfer desk, they would refuse you to leave.

As you said that, ur checked luggage would be transferred to the final destinbation. You don't need to handle it in Beijing at all. In case of any hassle, you's better consult your airline about the luggage issue in advance.
