Is a Chief Representative of a Foreign Representative company included in the five year visa limit?

It is said that the maximum years for Work Z is five. Does this apply to a Company Chief Representative or does it apply to only foreign teachers working at schools?

As a chief representative, you are able to apply for a 5-year resident permit in China, but it is not assured that your requirement can be approved.
