Two stops or one for 72h visa free

Does a refuelling stop in Urumqi on the China Southern Istanbul - Beijing flight invalidate a 72 hour visa free transit in Beijing. Our stop in Beijing is 68 hours then we fly to Auckland , New Zealand via Guangzhou

Hey, your planned route should be Istanbul – Beijing - Auckland. The refueling stop is uncontrollable factor, so your eligibility for the 72h visa free transit in Beijing may not be affected. Anyway, for the exact info, you should consult your airline in advance.
