passport validity for transit in hong kong between uk & australia?

My children only have a week validity on their passports after our return date & I am just wondering if Immigration will allow us to transit through Hong Kong?

The problem may not exist for the trip from HK to Australia, but it may cause some troubles for your returning trip. Based on the previous experience, at least you need to have around one month validity for your trip in HK. You can still contact the HK Immigration Department for confirming it.
