About:China Visa Application Requirements

Is Validity of Passport strict required for making application?

One of the general requirements for obtaining my 1 month, single entry tourist L is: 6 MONTHS VALIDITY. However, my passport expires on April 13, 2015. My appointment at the Chinese embassy is at November 18, 2014. Between those days are 146 days (4 months and 26 days). Does anyone know if they are very strict on this requirement? Or do you think this will not cause any problem? As I am not residing in the country of citizenship, it is not possible to obtain a new passport in time. In my current passport, I have two previous Chinese visa and a residence permit (maybe this might be useful information?)

According to the rules, at least, you need to have a validity of 6 months. So you may not to get a Tourist L.

You can consult the Chinese embassy in France for confirming.
