International to International transfer in T2 at PVG

I am arriving on Malaysian Airlines in T2 and catching United in T2 in 2.5 hours. Boarding passes are not avaiable for the UA flight (because non codeshare) and I will have to get them in the airport. Will I need to exit security and customs in T2 to access the transfer desk to get the boarding passes or is the transfer desk within the protected area? I'm concerned I may not have enough time if have to exit and reenter.

As I know, you can get the boarding pass in the transfer desk in the protected area. Don’t worry, your time for transit is enough, just take your time.
