am i qualified for the transit visa?

I am a US citizen. I will fly from Dubai to Beijing, visit Tianjin for less than 72hrs, and leave from Beijing to US. Beijing to Tianjin roundtrip will be by ground transportation. Am I qualified for the free transit?

Based on your information, your transfering time in Beijing, China is less than 72 hours, right?If so, you are able to enjoy the 72-hour free transit. Under the free transit policy, you are not able to visit Tianjin. If you already planned to visit Tianjin, you need to have a single entry Tourist L for your trip from Beijing to Tianjin.
