Travel to downtown from Kunming Airport

Hi. I arrive at 7:30am and my next flight is at 4pm. What is the best way to go to the shopping area in downtown (I remember there were shops like Uniqlo). Is there any accommodation that my family could catch up on some sleep for a few hours? Thanks.
