purchasing tickets in advance

Do you recommend purchasing tickets in advance for the Shanghai-Beijing bullet train, or can they be purchased on site? Many thanks.

There are many of them available everyday. If you are not travelling during some holiday and flexible in time, you can choose to buy on spot. But if you want to make everything well arranged or tight in time, you can consider to buy in advance.
