psb approval in dalian

Question

I am planning to travel there next summer (July). i intend to arrive  by plane (from Changbaishan) at 7:00pm and take the early bus the next day at 5:30am to Lushun. I have read that permission from the PSB is required for travel to Lushun. Do you know how this is done? Can it be done online, or does it have to be done in person?

Currently, as I know, foreigners do not need to get a requirement to enter most places in Lushun city except some military reservations, so do you just need to travel without permit. May I know will you live in a hotel or local families? If you live in local families, you need to remember to register at local PSB with your friend within 24 hours after you enter China. It is required by Chinese visa policy.

Thanks. I will be staying overnight at the International Airport Hotel, so may not need to register with the PSB.
