About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am an airline staff traveling standby from SFO-PEK_TPE_MNL Do I need a visa to transit for 4 hour

Do airline staff and crew need permit to transit to Beijing...and Taipei for a few hours to connect to other airlines going outside of Beijing or Taipe?

Since you plans to travel standby, you need to apply for a Transit G type for transfering. You need to have a confirmed onward ticket if you want to enjoy the free transit.

What if I am just transit to Taipei on a standby ticket to Manila? Do I need a Taipei visa just for staying at the transit area inside the terminal at the airport for less than 4 hours to connect? SFO-TPE-MNL standby ticket never leaving the transit area to connect.
