About:China Transit Visa

Is 6 month passport validity required for transit through China?

My passport will expire in the next 2 months. I am an Indian national traveling from India to Los Angeles (USA) while transiting through Guangzhou (China). The transit stop is only for 2 hours and I will not be leaving the airport.USA allows for entry and exit up to the passport expiry as long as visa is valid. Will I have any problem at Guangzhou airport in the transit through china with my passport expiring before the 6 month period mentioned above.

Since your transfering time only has two hours and you can show your departure flight with confirmed seat, problem may not exist. You can contact the airport again for confirming.
