About:Adopt Chinese Children

Can 51 years adopt a healthy child?

Since my husband and I are 48 and 51 years old, do we qualify to adopt a healthy baby/child? If can do, can we adopt 2 healthy children (one boy one girl)? If we know how to do the document on our own, is that mean no lawyer required, is that right?

Your age doesn't matter. According to China Centre for Children's Welfare and Adoption, those who are between 30 to 50 will be given precedence to adopt Chinese children. The adopter's age shouldn't exceed 55. So you still have chances to adopt your chilren.

According to the rule, you can't adopt two children at a time. You can adopt your second child one year later after you adopted the first one.

You don't need a lawyer to complete the whole process.
