British and Australian passport holder, travelling to China for two week study tour, and then travel

I hold both British and Australian passports and am travelling to Beijing in December. I plan to travel afterwards, for roughly 1 month. I plan to travel around China and visit Hong Kong and Macau.

The group I am studying with are applying for visas as a group, with am offer letter from Beijing university. I believe they are will apply a F type.

I would like to know which type I need

For my information, only a Tourist L is available for a group, so your group may try to apply for a L type.

If your group only has a group one, people in this group are required to enter and leave China together. After you leave China together, you can go to HK and Macau.

Personally speaking, L is OK for your study tour in China and you can enjoy a 30-day free entry to Macau and 90-day free entry to HK.
