Since you fly to Shanghai and then leave by cruise, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit.
May I know your arrival time and departure time? If you total time staying in China is no more than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24-hour free transit. Otherwise, you need to apply for a Transit G for this trip.
