About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

On UK passport, I might exit Guandong (12hrs) and Beijing (to get baggage) - is 72 hour visa ok?

I have a UK passport and have a ticket from Manila to Beijing and another ticket from PEK to MUC (my final destination). The Manila-Beijing ticket might require a stop-over in Guandong (for up to 12 hours) although the final destination in Beijing. I will have exit Beijing airport to collect my check-in baggage but will proceed immediately on that same day to take my onward flight to Munich. In other words, I might exit China from two airports (one in Guandong for a possible overnight stay) and the other in Beijing, just to collect my luggage. Will the 72-hour free transit be sufficient for this journey?

Ann, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit based on your trip information, since you transfer in two cities in China.

May I know your total tranfering time in China? The time includes the stop over time in Guangzhou, the flight time from Guangzhou to Beijing and the staying time in Beijing. If the total time is less than 24 hours, you can still enjoy the 24 hours free tranist; otherwise, you need to apply for a Transit G for your transfering.
