About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying from USA to Beijing (staying 48hours) returning to Canada and back to USA

Upon arrival into the Beijing airport where exactly do I go to get the transit visa; Customs, ticket counter? And how long does the process take? Does it matter if I am staying over for business or tourist?

In the airport, there is a special 72-hour free transit counter close at the immigration area and it can be easily by following the signs. You can try to look for it.

Usually, it takes several minutes to get a stay permit. The real time depends on the amount of people. You can do almost anything with the permit.
