About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hi, my itinerary is from NY to Beijing (layover) then final destination to Guanghzou.

Departure Guanghzou to HongKong to NY. Time from landing at Guanghzou to departure to Hongkong is 84 hours. Can I use 72 hour free transit?

Hi, you are not qualified for the 72-hour free transit, since you will fly Beijing to Guangzhou, a domestic flight journey instead of an international one. For your trip, you may need to apply for a Transit G type.

Based on the policy, you cannot enjoy it, although it is just a layove in Beijing.
