About:China Visa on Arrival

travelling through china

I am flying into Hong Kong and have read that I don't need a visa but I will be travelling through China and flying out from Beijing so I need to know if I need one and how I can get one. I am currently in Nepal and then will be in India so not in the UK to organise it.
thanks
sam

You will stay for several days in China and fly out of from Beijing, or just make a transfer in Beijing, like HK - Beijing - a third country?

If you will stay for several days in China, you need to apply for a Tourist L. If you just make a transfer, you may not need one.
