when is the best to tour both the forbidden city beijing.

Question

I want to start my day tour fairly early and see many areas.  You mentioned that it will take roughly 3-4 hours to walk around the Forbidden City.  Can I cut that short in order to see some of the other surrounding sites?  Like Drum/Bell Tower, Prince Kung Mansion, Beihai Park, Ming Tombs and the Beijing Tower in day? Many sites close way too early.

These three scenic areas don’t have best tour season. You will see the different sceneries in different seasons. If you want to see around early, you can go to the Tiananmen Square first. Then the Forbidden City. If you want to tour the above spots in a day, the time will be tight. For Forbidden city, at least you will spend around two hours, otherwise, you can see almost nothing.
