About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

American Airlines for the 72 hours policy

Apparently American Airlines has absolutely no idea about this policy (72 hour Visa). In contacting them, I was sent to 3 different telephone desks until their supervisor in charge of international visas and policies told me they are not aware of any such policy and I will need a real one prior to boarding my flight from Los Angeles.

I wonder which airport you will transfer in China and whether they will allow you to board without a visa in advance?
If they can allow you and you will transfer in Beijing, you do not need to tell the airline that you want to enjoy this policy. Otherwise, you may need to communicate several times with the airline to tell them this policy is used in many airports in China.
