do I need visa to go to hongkong? I am from phillipiines. what are other requirements?

If you will go there to stay no more than 14 days, it is not needed. When entering HK, you need to show your round trip tickets to HK and hotel booking confirmations locally.
If you stay longer than that, you need to apply one. For applying, you need to have an invitation letter from a resident in HK with HK ID card. Then you still need to prepare your valid passport, an application form with recent taken photo, your bank statement if any, your hotel booking confirmations and round trip tickets to HK for application.
