About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Train or bus better to guangzhou?

Bus to GZ takes 3-4 hours from HK airport.
Would taking the train be more direct and faster from hung hom station in Kowloon? I am assuming I need to go by MTR to Kowloon train station from the airport.

You can take HK MTR to Hung Hom to take the through train to GZ, but you have to transfer several times. Then I would suggest you take shuttle bus no. A21, which will directly take you from HKIA to Hung Hom. There you can easily catch a train to your destination. The whole trip also takes 3-4 hours as the direct bus.

Personally, the cross-border bus from HKIA shall be better, which requires no transfer. Also they will have many stops in GZ. Perhaps, your exact destination is one of them.
