About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is a visa needed for a 4 hour layover in china?

I am an american citizen, Traveling from JFK to Singapore, with a layover stop in Beijing. Each way will have a three hour layover.

Yasin, you needn't apply for any type in advance because you enjoy 72 hours free transit in Beijing.
