I was hoping that my sign would actually be the dog, can you clearify this

My birthday is 2/6/1958, I have always taught my sign was dog when I type my date of birth it says I am a rooster. My fiancé is 7/25/1958 and it says he is a dog so we are suppose to get marry next year and we do have indifference because he is quite the jealous type.
