About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I will be staying in Guangzhou for 15 hours on the way from USA to Nepal.

I usually get my Nepal visa when I arrive there, which is permitted and most convenient. Do I need to get it in advance to show in China? Also, is it possible to just stay in the airport in Guangzhou for 15 hours? Thanks!

It is possible to just stayin the airport for 15 hours.
If you want to leave the airport, you can show them your valid passport and onward ticket to Nepal to get a stay permit to leave the airport. Please do not worry about it.
