About:China Visa on Arrival

Am I eligible for VOA, and which type of VISA should I apply?

I'm an Indonesian passport holder. I'm going to Guangzhou for approximately 9-10 days. Usually I'll have my visa ready from Indonesia, but this time I didn't notice my passport is going to expired in 5 months on my travel date thus I renewed my passport. I won't be able to make it on time for my flight if I apply in Indonesia because I'm not living in city where the embassy is located. My return flight is to Hong Kong. Any clue how can I work this thing? Entering from Shenzhen?

For Shenzhen VOA, you cannot apply it since you will join the meeting in Guangzhou. There is no better method than applying one in advance.

You can choose to apply through the local nearby CVASC Center. There are three centers, one in Jakarta, one in Surabaya and one in Medan. So you may try to apply through one of them and then apply for an express service. If your time is so limited, you stop in HK for a period to apply one through the local agency.

It depends on and it is different for different agencies, according to difernet countries and areas. I heard someone can get within one working day if they can apply before 08:30. As I know, there is such a counter in the HKIA and you may go there for asking or searching more information online.

That's really helpful. One last question maybe, do you how much the express service for Indonesia might cost? I think I'm going for the single entry L type for this trip.

It is a pity that I have no idea about the price, because the agency will charge some fee if you apply through agency. The agency's fee is not the same and you may need to consult the agency directly.
