About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

5 hour layover, do I need to apply for the transit visa?

I am a Philippine passport holder and am travelling from Okinawa to Manila...my airline( China Eastern ) will have a 5 hour layover in Shanghai Pudong airport. i have no plans to go out of the airport. Do I still need to apply for this? The Philippines isnt listed in the 51 countries with the 72 hr free transit.

Ken, Filipinos enjoy 24 hours free transit in China. Your flight just stops for 5 hours so that you can make use of 24 hours free transit. It means that you needn't apply a transit type in advance.
