Yes, you should apply for a L type for your 11-day tour in mainland China. Apart from your passport, application form and a recent six-month passport photo, you should also provide your cruise ticket and hotel reservation in China. If you can provide an invitation letter, you needn't provide the cruise ticket nad hotel reservation.
