Resident Permit by taking Chinese working visa Z type

Hi, I came to China on Z type & now my company is in the process of applying for chinese residence, I faced the Police interview yesterday & what are the next steps & how long will it take for me to get the permit

reason is I need to travel to my Home country latest by end of next month , I need to know the time frame
