Will I need a visa to go to Macau

I am a Chinese passport holder living in the UK. I will be traveling to Hong Kong then on to China in November. I want to go to Macau for the day before I enter China. Do I need a visa to do this?

You need to get two different visas for both of the places.
For detail information, you are suggested to consult the Chinese embassy in UK.

I know I don't need a visa between UK - HK - China as I am allowed 7 day transit when I arrive in HK. I just need to know whether I need a visa to visit Macau as I have been given conflicting information. Thanks for the reply though.

The visa is not needed, but you need to have a Two-way Exit Permit with a valid "Exit Endorsement to Macao" if you go to Macau for a short visit.
