About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

i would like to go from PEK T2 to Beijing Railway Station, Dongcheng. via train

my flight arrives in afternoon on september 2. taxis and bus are very slow. is the train faster? can you tell me the best way to take the train? thank you.

You are right that train is faster. You can take Airport Express to Dongzhimen and then transfer to local subway line 2 to BJ Railway Station directly.
