About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Is it possible to apply for an X1 in Beijing whilst I am currently on my L visa?

I ask this because I would rather not leave the country due to financial difficulty and I am meant to be beginning university in the beginning of September.

According to Chinese policy, the change is not available in China if you try to do it on your own. If you apply through a agency, it may be possible, but the fee is also high.
