VISA for Filipino Citizens coming from Manila to Shenzhen, China via Hong Kong International Airport

We are 2 Filipinos carrying Philippine Passports traveling from Manila to Hong Kong International Airport and then by bus or train to SZ, China. While we do not need visas to go to Hong Kong, do we need visas to go from Hong Kong to SZ, China?
Thanks

Yes, but you can easily apply for a visa on arrival at the border at Luohu (Lo Wu) Port, Huanggang Port, Shekou Port and Fuyong Port.

I read in this site that Filipinos with Phil Passports are not given Shenzhen visa at the border. Visa application should be done before the trip.

Filipinos can apply for a Visa on Arrival in SZ-Hong Kong border but only to those who have been issued a Chinese Visa before. If you never been to mainland China then you're not eligible to apply.

Philippine passport holders can apply visa on arrival, just bring your passport with expired Chinese visa sticker on it.

Usually, if you don’t have HK residence permit, it may be difficult for you to apply for Chinese visa from HK. If possible, you are advised to apply for it in Germany or apply from your home country.

Filipino citizens do need a visa for the Chinese mainland.
The visa takes almost a week, and can be obtained at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the Philippines.

It is far better to get the visa while in the Philippines.
