Shanghai - Guilin - Guangdong

I'm planning my travel to China. The plan is to travel from Shanghai to GL. When I search direct train it will take appx 20hr+, however, when I stop over in Changsha (7 hours) then from Changshan to GL is 3 hours.

I'm struggle to plan from Shanghai to Guilin to Guangdong (shenzhen). Any advice?

To save much time, it is best to travel by air for these routes, as no direct high speed trains are in operation.

The way you searched from Shanghai to GL via Changsha seems to take less time, but they are all high speed ones. The problem is that the connecting time doesn't match well, so you may have to stay long even overnight in Changsha to get on the next high speed train.
