i have a buisness trip from germany to bejing

Question

I am egyptian and working in Germany, I have a buisness trip to bejing. The problem that my residency card is renewed every new year, so my card is only valid for the end of this year. However I need the visa for my travel, can I use this card with official invitation letter from the invited university in china, bank statement, letter from my work that i am going on their behalf, flight tickets and hotel reservation. Please inform me as that is really urgent to me. Also what is the minimum amount of money should I have in my account (in euros)

You can use your current residence card with your other documents for your application. There is no specific rules for the minimum amount of your money on the bank statement, but it is suggested to provide at least around 6 monthes' history on the statement if possible. With it, it may be much easier to obtain in the end.

Thanks so much for your reply.Sorry I was not clear my travel is on the middle of September, and my residency card validation date is until the end of the year. Which means the card is not valid for 6 month from the travel date. Is it okay to only use the official invitation letter?

Ahamed, the official invitation letter is a must. And your residency card is needed too because you apply in Germany. If you apply in Egypt, you won't be required with they residency card.
