is 6 hour layover enough to do anything in guangzhou airport?

I have a flight that has a 6 hour layover in Baiyun airport, and wanted to know if that's enough time to go into the city? The flight is with Hainan Airlines - do you know if they'll hold the luggage during the layover?

Time is tight to take a short visit in the city, so I suggest you stay in the airport and walk around. If you take the luggage chek-though service of your airline, your luggage will be directly taken to the destination.
