About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From Washington DC to Taiwan

I am going to Taiwan from DC, I plan to stop in Beijing for 3 days (less than 72 hours), can I apply for this 72-hour free transit? Because of the political issues between China and Taiwan, China does not recognize Taiwan as a country, so I want to make sure that I can do the72-hour free transit in Beijing. Thank you!!
PS: I am holding an US passport!

Hi, Chen. You can apply for the 72 hours free transit. Taiwan is regarded as a third region, so you can still enjoy this convenient policy with your passport and flight tickets to DC with confirmed seats.
